Hi all, i'm from Mississauga and i have a 2011 Mazda3 sedan. Mi big question now is to keep the oil changes with the dealership or to do it with another one like Mst Lube for example. My dealership is 401 Dixie Mazda

Mazda puts in OEM synthetics 0W20, how much cheaper is Mr Lube when they put in the equivalent?

I would say while in warranty keep going to the dealership. Cost is likely very similar, as well, if you need warranty support they have a history with your vehicle, and all service records, and thus less hassle.

I agree. You'd also be surprised at the prices of places like Mr. Lube. Not as cheap one might think.

Jiffy lube is just...awful. Definitely stick to the dealership if you're still in warranty, and even after that if you don't plan on doing your own oil changes

Alternative would be Costco, $50 last I heard.

if you dont' like your dealership, you could always go to another dealership, if that's what you mean by your original post

Stick with dealership. You're not going to find anything cheaper and not to mention, it builds customer relationship so they're more likely to help you out when you go there all the time.

Do it yourself, buying genuine filters. Cheapest way to go synthetic and there is pride in doing it yourself.

I always bought oil when on sale or when in the States and then brought it to the dealership to change.

our dealership charges 49.99 for an oil change which id say is very competitive comes with a full report of your car and you can rest well knowing everything is done by trained Mazda techs.

Still trained.. lol dont just walk off the street without knowing what to do. And having help if there is trouble

Trust me.ive worked with a few apprenti who are better then some techs. Just because your a dr doesnt mean your good at it. Or smart. Techs are the same way. Because you put in the time and passed the course doesnt always make you more able

Agreed, but you have to be careful with some dealerships that try to convince unknowing people to perform unneeded maintenance.

I'm an apprentice and I have to take mazda courses just like our master technicians do new trainings are done almost monthly. Yes there are some the master techs do that we don't but you can rest easy knowing that mazda makes sure the apprentices are all well informed
