I\'m sure anyone studying at the moment can relate to this comic at this time of the year ...

hehe.. yeah, that one can be pretty bad too. I always found things sort of flew by a lot faster for the winter semester though.

Ur in engineering majic (from the looks of the iron ring) so wait till the fourth year monster(s) come by. They hold a reunion around March/April where they actively recruit engineering students into IT, arts, and business programs.

I spent everyday in a school lab until midnight working on my thesis project ontop of the other projects and assignments. It gets you thinking about the arts and business students and their three days of class a week.:(

Oh yeah, ERTW!;)

actually 4th year was MUCH easier than 3rd..

i think 4th was even easier than 1st b/c i actually got to learn some stuf i _WANTED_ to learn.. and my marks showed it (relatively). it was a non stop workload but it wasn\'t a killer like \"theory of computation\" or other courses, i think that one has scarred me for life, alongside advanced eng math.. yoy.. :p

anwyay.. it\'s so good to be done (hence the iron ring ;) and fo\' sho\' ERTW!!! when did u graduate? COMP0T4 is what i finished

How about the 5th year monster? :p I think its just really a 4th year in halloween drag... though I checked my exam schedule for December and it looks like maybe the 4th yr and the 3rd yr monsters team up <gulp>.

But yeah, 3 day weeks are pretty decent. :D

I graduated in \'04 as well in Electrical Engineering but I went to Rye High as you UofT whores like to call it. I have a friend who also did COMP0T4. His name is Nick Pinto. Know him??

4th year engineering at UofT is WAAAY easier than the other years because they have a reputation to maintain. the graduating class cannot have an average of 55%

this is how it goes at UofT:

1st year - weed people out ...walk up call for most people who slacked in highschool and still got 90s....40-60% of your frosh group you\'ll never see again

2nd year - for those that made it through 1st year, we\'ll cut you a break....make things a bit easier than 1st year to lure you in further

3rd year - weed people out even more ...only the select few who make it through 3rd year can have the honour of trying to call themselves UofT engineering grads

4th year - congrats, you made it this far, now all you have to do is pass your courses. hell, you can even do real shitty on your exams and somehow you\'ll still end up with a 75-80%

only thing i can recommend is do the homework...however, if you subscribe to the JPI theory (for those that don\'t know JPI, you never will), you too can also get a BASc

MajesticBlueN,

Good summary of Engineering Skule at UofT. I would say that my experience as a Comp0T3 would be the same. :hoho

hehehe.. rye high.. yeah.. the students weren\'t half as bad as the profs man.. they are the ones who\'d just tell us to go to \'that high school\' and stuff.. (cuz we did poorly on the test) ugh.. the profs at UT sucked.. i digress..

i do know nick.. had a few classes here and there.. aaah small world :p

i concur.. although after almost getting a whiff of the T-program.. i still thought i could slack.. agh.. that wasn\'t good.. oh well.. 2nd year second time was easier ;) hehehe

oh also.. at some point i heard where ppl were comparing UT and harvard i believe..

\"harvard is hard to get in, UT is hard to get out\" heh.. so true.. (about UT part..) couldnt\' wait till it was all done..

lol.. seems we have quite a few people who have suffered through the engineering programs at U of T here. Congrats on all of you being done :)

Just a question, did you guys find it easy to get work afterwards, or are you going back for more *cough* torture.. er.. \"education\"? :p

I myself am at Dork.. er.. York learning all about the wonders of psyc/econ/hrm. Once I\'m done I figure I\'ll be an over-qualified, un-employed employment counselor. :p Really though, I have absolutely what to do. :sarc

I remember you, from first year at least. I am the uuber short non-president one-out-of-a-hundred-brown-guys-in-electrical-engineering.:sarc

You probably have never seen me before. But still, small world indeed.

Got your car yet?
