Need Help With UltraRacing Strut Bar

I bought a strut bar direct from an Asian distributor, Ultra Racing part number UR TW2 109, for my 06 Mazda 3 GT hatch...But my brake fluid reservoir is completely in the way! I've Looked around online for others with the same issue and couldn't really find anything. I have seen this part fitted to a right hand drive vehicle, and when I asked the supplier they said they'd sold thousands of units to the LHD market with no mention of this issue. My master cylinder is original too, not an after market replacement. Any advice? Should I be looking for a different reservoir shape? I need to change the master anyway..ugh

for sure, just with some quick googling, i found more than one model number for Gen 1 mazda 3. I wonder if there's differences with the smaller 1.6 foreign engines and whatnot which could result in different placement, because i've seen people with Ultra Racing bars and aside from being hard to get the battery cover off while installed, they go right in.

Ok, 5 images. You can see the reservoir is just to the left of the battery box, and sticks up right in the way where the bar goes. I put the bar on the front bolt, sitting about 6 inches forward from where it should be, and you can see the reservoir is right in the way...

Ryan2.3 You mean multiple part options from Ultra racing? I went straight to their website when I looked it up, I only saw one "Mazda 3 BK chassis" option. I know exactly what you mean about the battery box (as you can see I just removed the cover for the meantime). What do your reservoirs look like?...

it is supposed to stiffen things up, but there's lots of back and forth online that its pure cosmetic for the mazda 3 given how far back the strut towers are to the firewall and that its' already pretty much connected to it.

definitely noticed it on my other cars, but i'm also in teh camp of cosmetics for a 3

devonshire what happens if you turn it the other way? I can see in your pictures the logo is upside down...is it like that because that's the way you got it to fit?

Just asking because when I installed mine the way the logo was facing was an indication that it was being installed correctly.

That's a good observation natspriceless!

It does look like it might fit if you rotated the bar so the logo was readable standing in front of the car.

Pic #4 seems to show the bracket with an angle to it.
