Hey everybody I have a 2005 mazda 3 hatch I am looking to get new struts and shocks also some lowering springs for my car for once the snow melts. I am wondering what brands do you guys recommend and what height for the lowering springs as I am in Canada and drive my car all year round, what is a good height that's looks good and isn't too low.
I am looking for a good brand with a good price ? Let me know what you guys recommend
There's tons of info on this if you spent a little time searching the forum. Use the search bar, and have at it. It mostly comes down to preferences and personal budgets, etc. but you'll be able to find a lot of past experiences, and good info from people that have been in your position before.
Good luck

Best all-around bet is a prokit (or corksport, think it is a similar drop) with koni yellows. Perfect height (clear speedbumps, drive year round, almost no wheel gap), OEM-like ride comfort with the best warranties in the industry.
But as FD22 said, just search.

I agree on the prokit or corksport springs, but not the koni shocks.
Too many leak.

Too many leak.I've never had a leak and I dont' know anyone who has either. But even if you do have a leak, they're the only company I'm aware of that will let you install a new part and then send the old part back in, rather than needing to send the part in and have the car sitting in a garage for a week.
That's kind of a big deal

My Koni oranges have lost their comfort after 3 years now with prokits. No leaks yet. No complaints based on the price I paid and my warranty which would be taken care of by Nextmod should I have to use it. Good OEM replacement for the price.

The primary issue is the extra costs associated with replacing them unless you have means to do yourself. Even still doesn't pay for the alignment after the fact.
Just depends if you're OK deferring those potential costs if they end up leaking.

Just ones that come to mind:
Shocks and struts:
KYB
Koni Orange
Koni Yellow
Corksport
Bilstein
Also had my Koni shocks for a few years and no leaks.
Springs:
Prokits
Tein
Corksport

Go with the MZ Pro-kits and MazdaSpeed struts and shocks, new or used. That's what I'm running now and the combo is awesome.
