With just over a week till we begin 2016, it's time to start thinking about your new years resolutions if you haven't already.

Let's hear what your New Years resolutions for 2016 are!

Here's the thread from last year:

http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?78507-2015-New-Years-Resolutions

For those who posted in there, did you end up staying true to your resolution(s)? If so, for how long?

Finish my degree.
Get a full-time job.
And also one more but I'm keeping that to myself for now.

As for last year:

1) become a bit healther ( being a stick aint fun) - nah...I became a cokeaholic

2) get an internship that actually pays

- got an awesome internship...didn't get paid. But still enjoyed it.

3) remove the goddamn swirls from my car one way or another
- I wish but my da polisher wasn't cooperating
:(

4) maybe mod my car a bit outside of my comfort zone...

- does an extra sticker count as a mod?

Good job on keeping it to yourself, as I'm sure we can all guess what it is.

So basically you scored 0.5/4. Well...better than 0? So there's that.

It's not 2016 yet so see my comments below...

Finish my degree. This shouldn't be a resolution.
Get a full-time job. See above...especially if you're finished your degree
And also one more but I'm keeping that to myself for now. I think I can guess....

As for last year:

1) become a bit healther ( being a stick aint fun) - nah...I became a cokeaholic The drink?

2) get an internship that actually pays

- got an awesome internship...didn't get paid. But still enjoyed it. This was good on you. Still not a resolution, but rather a life skill

3) remove the goddamn swirls from my car one way or another
- I wish but my da polisher wasn't cooperating
:(

You can remove them with...A BRAND NEEEEWW CAAAR!!

4) maybe mod my car a bit outside of my comfort zone...

The sticker on your plate from Service Ontario does not count...

Lose weight. I'm happy with where I am so far, now I need to cut some stresses and focus more on my health going forward.

That'll take you 5+ years of a strict workout plan/diet.

That's fine. We'll check back with him in the 2021 New Years Resolution thread.

I don't have any resolutions because I lack the motivation to think of a resolution...

I guess I could make that my resolution... Nah, too much work.

I have decided every year to somehow keep track of my daily life and events. I started last year around May, and often wrote down in a planner/calendar type of thing the little things I did, even just casual get togethers with friends. At the end of the year I can look back on my past year and be grateful for all the little things that made my year great. Even if there was no major exciting event. My resolution for next year is 1)To keep up with it 2)Attempt to keep myself happy and positive, and enjoy the little moments in life that we often overlook when looking back on our year.
I have also heard of people taking slips of paper in a jar and writing down the small things or days they enjoyed. But even if you don't accomplish any "big" things throughout the year, remember all the little triumphs, and if there were tough times, imagine how far away and small they seem now.
It's a perfect way to help yourself be grateful for the past year.

Genetics will play a factor, and so will your body type... but yes it will take years to get that physique ... but nothing good comes easy!

1. Be more awesome
2. Actually finish stuff around the house to 100%
3. Get back on the workout wagon
4. Sell the Miata
5. Eat healthier (as I shove some delicious ruffles chips in my face)
6. Loose some weight, gain some butt kickin muscle
7. Lie about #4 (and probably a few others)
8. Drink less wine

Happy New Year!

1. I will not buy anything in USD until the exchange rate gets better. I’m still feeling the sting of my NYC shopping sprees in March & September.

2. I will stop trying to “save” people from themselves. You can either take my advice or not but I will not lose sleep wondering if you are okay.

3. I will stop buying concert/event tickets for anyone other than my one friend who never bails on me. I don’t enjoy having to hustle to make my money back at the last minute…okay that’s not 100% true, I enjoy the hustle but not the gamble of losing $$$. Side Note: I’ve got 2 tickets to Monster Jam 2016 for sale. I’ll also have 2 tickets for Keys N Krates in March going up for sale soon…sigh :bang

4. I will answer the call of the racetrack and either earn respect for living out my childhood dream or die trying.

5. I will conquer my fear of drowning/learn how to swim. This is likely going to require therapy because I have yet to figure out how keep clam and not let anxiety take over in a situation where I can’t take deep breaths to relax as I would otherwise do.

I've never really been one for new years resolutions but let's give it a go.

1. Save money for car mods.
2. No, seriously. You had better save money for car mods.
3. Get a new motorcycle.
4. Get in better shape, lost 20 lbs but gained a lot of muscle, so I'm on the right path.
5. Continue to stick It to vegetarians about not needing to eat my greens.
6. Buy CarLadyLisa's Miata and become a Mazda supporter again.
7. Be more of a dick than I have been this year. Clearly it's having very positive outcomes. Keep it up.
8. MOAR TRACK DAYS.

I'm more or less very serious about all of those.

I don't really do resolutions either but I'll post a few for the heck of it:

1. Add some more mods to car. One will be considered a success.
2. Double-down on car loan payments, let's knock off an extra year.
3. Continue to work out and stay healthy especially during audit/tax season.
4. Continue to enjoy life to the fullest each day, whatever it may be! :)

Bonne Année!
