Hi guys!

First time poster - recently got a used 2015 Mazda 3 GX and look forward to sharing stories with you guys for years to come.

Question 1:
While I was working with the OBD port just over the brake/gas pedals I noticed that that whole area was uncovered and insulation was showing. I would presume there should be a panel there...but when I called my dealer (Airport Mazda) the salesperson said all of the 2015s came like this (which I strongly doubt as its does not seem normal at all). I have attached a picture. I think what's happened is that the car came with only one key and we asked to have another key made, and while the technician was down there working on stuff they forgot to put the panel back before I drove off...But that's just my best guess at this point.

The salesperson even sent me a couple of pictures of a couple new delivery Mazda 3s showing the same panel missing....But it just seems to be such a non cost-effective way to reduce costs that I'm having a hard time believing it.

What do your cars look like?

Question 2:

My car shakes quite significantly between 100km - 120km. This is both before and after I swapped on new snow tires (including balancing.). It seems to be on/off as in sometimes I would feel it but other times it would not be as noticeable even though i'm driving within similar speed ranges. Any one else having similar issues?

Thanks for reading!

#1 Can confirm no panel is the norm

#2 Were the winters on the same rims...Maybe a bad rim?

I'm new here so the post actually came up twice - you can see our discussion on this other thread. http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/forumdisplay.php?93-New-User-s-Lounge

#2 - I did buy a new set of steelies for my winter tires so I don't think that's the issue. The shaking is bearable from a rider perspective - any long term negative impacts if I don't get it looked at?
