I've replaced the HID wiring harness 3x already and again, I'm having issues with the HIDs.. GRR..

I checked to see if the power was still connected to the battery terminal; Check.
Checked the grounds on both the drivers and passenger sides; Check.
Unplugged all the connections and re-plugged them to ensure the connection was good; Check.
Checked the fuse and it looks good; Check.

So everything looks as it should but no power to the bulbs.. neither the left or right side is working.. so I can eliminate the ballasts.

It also doesn't flicker when I turn the car on so I can more or less eliminate the capacitor.

I'm thinking it might be the relay amp? Any thoughts on this? Would the relay amp make the whole thing stop working?

I put the stock halogen bulbs back in for now and those work so I know it's not the main lighting harness.. just wondering if anyone's ever run into this problem as often as I have..

Yes, the relay would stop it working. Luckily it's just a common 40 amp 4 prong relay right? If so, just visit Sayal and buy a new one for $5.

check the relay as Hyperion mentioned. I've had issues with a relay before and the relay holder also being corroded gave me issues twice. i gave up on the cheap china ones and paid for a good one from the RTS through Hyperion no issues since.

*TRS, The Retrofit Source.

Yes, I can get you a Morimoto Relay Harness from The Retrofit Source.

There were 2 problems.

1) The soldered wires that connect to the lighting harness disconnected. I went with a different method this time so I hope it holds. I decided to crimp them instead.

2) The relay amp was shot. I guess some water somehow got in there and shorted out. Bought a new one from Crappie Tire and now it's good to go.

The relay amp seems to go on me often and I always have electrical tape around it. Not sure how else to prevent it from acquiring moisture and shorting out. Once the damn thing melted so I needed a whole new harness.
