Hey everyone, first post here!

I have a 2011 MS3 with 85k km on it. This is the first winter I drive it, so I'm just now noticing all it's defects!
My issue is that the car barely heats... I work about 20-25 minutes from home, city driving. The car only gets somewhat warm once I'm there.

Normal driving, speeds from 30-70km/h, sometimes stopped at lights/traffic.

Today was COLD out, -15 Celsius. I started the car for 5 minutes before driving off. Once I got home after 25 minutes, I connected my OBD2 sensor and Torque app and found the coolant to be at 74 Celsius.
It seems to be a little low (I know it's cold out, but even at -2 the car doesn't get hot)

Whats a typical temperature for these cars? I'd guess closer to 85-90. Time for a new thermostat?

PS. I have no CEL

Thanks!

Normally one would assume the thermostat or sensor. But, it should also give you a CEL then, (Not sufficient temp), but I would guess the thermostat...You should, even in these temps, have good heat within 5-8 minutes.

I think normal operating temp is 80-100C if I remember correctly.
