Since spring is here, I figure when I change my winter tires to all seasons, I should just change the brake pads too.

What's the best place to get brakes? I've been looking at maxbrakes.com as recommended elsewhere on this forum and I have a choice between these two after keying in my info. 2012 mazda3 GS sedan.

I don't need anything crazy. I just commute from Oshawa to Toronto and I don't drive fast or brake hard.

I am not really that good at car stuff aside from driving it, so any recommendations/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

First of all, you should have a mechanic check whether you need to change the brake pads. The front and rear brakes sometimes wear out at different times so there may still be life in one or both sets of brakes.
Given that they need replacing I'd go with the OEM pads from the dealership's parts department. Go to an affiliated dealer and get a discount.

yeah you should probably verify you actually need them changed instead of doing it just because.

If you do need new pads, me and several people here have been running maxbrakes. I've got the ceramic pads on 2 of my cars and they work great. just checked my maintenance records and it looks like i'm about 70,000km on them, which includes a some track days from last summer. I'm just about ready to change them in the next month or so, already bought another set when the front and rear max pads and rotors set went on sale for $100US a couple months ago
