There are 2 open house coming up shortly which may set the tone the for time you spend on track this season.
First is the Ontario Time-Attack Open house at JRP in Mississauga on Saturday April 2. This is your first opportunity to register for an Ontario Time-Attack event for the 2016 season, whether it be a school, lapping or competition event. If you just want to try your car on the race track of feel you want to test yourself against the clock and fellow competitors, Ontario Time-Attack is the place to be. No other group offers such a wide variety of tracks or choice in competition styles in Ontario. All you need is a car, helmet and CASC club membership (OMSC is selling theirs for $20 at the open house which includes all the barbeques banquets and $10 discount for every autoslalom we run)
New for this year are cheaper prices than last year and NO licence fee. Can't beat that. Check out http://www.casc.on.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=32866
Second is the Introduction to Motorsports Open House on the evening of Tues April 5 at Clarington Hyundai. This is an introduction to all the CASC sanctioned motorsport disciplines including Autoslalom, Time-Attack, Ice Racing and Road Racing. Hard to be a car enthusiast and not want to explore the limits of your car. This Open House will get you up close and personal with folks experienced in all these disciplines who can likely steer you (pun intended) in the right direction. Be prepared to become addicted....and love it.
For more info check out http://www.oshawamotorsportclub.com/ but note we will be further east at Clarington Hyundai in Bowmanville and not at the regular Whitby Yacht club.
