eibach makes both these kits...
one gives sports line is 1.8 drop $340
two pro kit is 1.2 drop for $375
(prices from tire23)
if any members have these springs tell us how they are....
and the differences

Troy and ASD Axela have these on their cars, maybe even Guess, I\'m not sure.

yep that too
but I still want to see what they look like

the pro kit is pretty low already, the sportline must be really really low

according to eibach, Prokit are more performance oriented, while sportlines are more looks oriented. if you\'re planning on tracking or auto-xing, go with the prokit. if you like the low stance of the sportlines, that\'s the best bet for you.

i had prokits on my rsx. they were okay, but it\'s much better to go with a matched spring/damper. i didn\'t realize how much of a difference dampers made on ride quality and handling till i experienced it myself.

That\'s exactly what the Sportlines are for pure looks.

get the pro-kit. the roads here around here are brutal and the sportlines are a little too low. just my .02

Guys, I have the prokit installed on my ride, the difference between sportline and prokits is the fact that prokits are a progressive spring, while sportlines are linear.

Progressive springs, mean your car wont bounce around while going over bumps, as each coil on the spring has a different tension setting, and it \"eases\" the car back to its original stance after a bump. With a linear (sportline) spring your car will hop back to its original stance as all the coils have the same tension setting.

So I guess those who dare and wish to get the sportline kit live in the Bonneville Salt Flats, trailer their car to autocrosses and the track and have a Winterbeater?:hoho

according to the eibach site (http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe/00194.4.219058503900013669) they are both progressive springs

When you go so so so so low, believe me PROGRESSIVE is not the term. It is more like AGGRESSIVE. You\'ll bounce around over every crack and pebble on the urban roadways like a view inside a handi-cam from F1, Nascar, WRC racing etc.

Found this comparison and thought it would be good to be posted up on here.

^^....stock vs eibach pro kit!!

Whos ur dadd

Is it me, or is the difference not THAT noticible. Maybe needs another +1 and some rubber band tires?

Oh yeah it is noticeable! It is not that drastic at a quick glance due to the chunkier body cladding of the M3 and the different locals of the pic. The wheels and wheel wells look like a nice Audi, BMWish tight tucking stance which is sexy.

The kit in the pic is more functional than fashion, believe me. Any lower and the ride quality during reg. commute is bone jarring. If both of the pics where on level ground instead of the sloping driveway you would see it more.

The H&R Sport kit is 1.3fr and 1.2rr???
How long has this prokit been on the M3 in the pic? It will take some time to settle properly and then it will look even sexier!:)
What\'s the lowest application out there?

^ Mine is dropped about 2\" on Auto Exe springs and the ride isn\'t bad at all. Feels like stock. I do want coilovers though.

Did you do the struts and shocks with that amount of drop? If not, that\'ll be very soon. 2\" would look sexy, do you have a pic?

Thats a decision for you to make. All depends on your driving and what you plan for your car. All we can say is the same of whats been said.

Come on, make the executive decision ;)

No, there weren\'t any aftermarket shocks and struts out when I got mine - I dropped my car less than 2 months after I got it. It\'s still not low enough IMO and I\'ll be getting Tein Basic when they come out. I\'m a huge fan of the slammed look (though airbag suspensions are another matter).

If anyone\'s interested - I\'ll be selling my AutoExe springs in a few months when I upgrade to coilovers.

AFAIK only Mazdaspeed makes shocks for the 3 right now. Koni Yellows were supposed to be coming out but I haven\'t heard any news about them lately.

The stock shocks aren\'t as bad as you think. My car\'s been lowered for quite a while - 8 months and 20000km later they\'re still fine.
