So I just put new rotors and pads on the front of my 2010. Drivers side went okay, but the outside of the passenger side rotor was touching the top of the caliper bracket. I took it off and reinstalled. Now it's not touching, but there is less than 1/8" clearance. As I tightened the top 17mm bolt, it pulled the top of the bracket in quite a bit. Any ideas on how to fix or should will it be okay the way it is?

Any scratching on the inside or outside of the rotor? Something very similar happened to my Mazda same year. Turns out the rotor was just warped a bit so I got it exchanged from where I bought it no questions asked that could be the issue unless somebody else may have a different answer for you!

Small scratch on the outside. Maybe 1/8" wide, not very deep at all. It must be a bad rotor because nothing else changed.

Did you clean the hub surface before installing the rotor?

If you had to hammer the rotor off did you accidentally hit one of the two spots that the bolt goes through to hold the bracket in place?
