Hello everyone,
Just replaced my battery at the dealership October 2015. Car has not moved for 4 days as I am waiting for a part to come in. Is it normal for a battery to die after 4 days when its that new? Just want to know if normal or if I have to maybe take it back for warranty.
* No interior lights were left on / 08 M3 GT
Thank you.

No it's not normal.
Do you have any other accessories that might be draining it? Like a dash cam?

only thing I can think of is a power inverter that I have plugged into the cigarette lighter under the armrest but there is nothing plugged to it.

Pretty sure the armrest 12V socket is always on. The power inverter is still getting powered regardless of if there is anything plugged into it or not so there is constant current draw on that. If you keep it always plugged in, use the 12V socket up front instead as that is turned on only with the ignition on.

You are correct about it being always on. That is the likely culprit.

OP how big is your inverter? i used to leave a phone charger in my arm rest port constantly and never had battery issues. But then again i think those are limited to only drawing up to 2.1A to charge phones and tablets. If you're using an inverter to use a wall wart charger/cable you should look into a phone charger for cars

A 250ma draw will empty a car battery in less that a week........

As I recall I'm pretty sure 1st gen don't have constant power to the 12v plug or cigarette lighter.
