Today I took my car to CanTire\\\'s Simoniz car wash for the first time. Just as usual before I enter the car wash, I pressed the close buttons for all the windows and moonroof more than once to ensure they\\\'re closed. When passing thru the rinsing nozzles (they\\\'re stronger than Esso\\\'s and Sunoco\\\'s), some water leak through the moonroof! :( Shade opened at the moment. I never had this problem when I brought my car to Esso\\\'s rail or rail-less wash. Anyone has experienced the same problem??

the pressure is too strong...water seaps past the moonroof seals. try closing the shade the next time...if the water still gets in, the next time, don\'t go to that particular car wash ...now you know and knowing is half the battle :D

Hey, I just noticed this too. I went to the Shell station on Highway 7 just east of Bayview and I noticed that they cranked up the pressure on their rinse cycle too. A couple of drops of water seeped into the cabin, but not enough to cause a concern.
Mental note, don\'t go to that Shell station again for a carwash.

Why not bring along a towel and stuck it along the moonroof when going thru the wash? :p

Hmm.. I\'d think that there must be some sort of a drainage thing from the roof. The question is, when you get the car rust proofed, do they get that spot?
As for closing the sunshade, I doubt that would help the seal.. instead it might just make it harder to see. Ignorance is not all that bliss :p
