08 M3 headlight motor plug

hi,

I just replaced the headlight alignment motor in my 08 M3 with factory xenon. The only issue I have now is that the orange plug that connects to the motor won't go all the way in enough to lock and make proper contact.

Anyone know what to try to fix this? and in the case that there is no repair how can I find a replacement for that plug?

When I try to push it in it feels as if it almost hits the rubber seal and that rubber is not letting it go further down, If I push it hard it sort of bounces back.

any suggestions?
