Not many people have installed mud guards on their 3s.

Unless you drive through gravel quite often, I wouldn\'t worry about it. I believe you can get an \"extended\" 3M protected film kit that includes, not just the hood area, but also the leading edge of the rearview mirrors, the top side of the rear bumper and the rocker panels (areas behind the wheels).

I\'ve added a set of the black flat mudguards from CTC on the front of my GT. I was concerned about the mud going half way up the sides & the comparitively delicate paint. I find with them on that the side stays cleaner & the skirts don\'t get blasted. I don\'t drive on gravel but contruction sites are unavoidable & salt/sand in winter will be here soon. I am hoping that by next spring Mazda will have some factory ones available to fit around the side skirt

I just checked my one week old Mazda3 GS and found only the from mud guards are installed ! Did the dealer missed the rear ones ? These should not be options are they ?

Thanks.

I guess it\'s a matter of preference.

\"Let\'s see Crappy Tire one\'s that fit ok or Mazda one\'s that fit perfect?? \"

When in Dave Wood Mazda for service I asked about mud guards and they do have them for the front and backs. They quoted me a price installed but was turned off by the cost so didn\'t bother, something like over $200 installed. Phone the parts dept. of your local dealer.

The mudguards come with installation instructions. That\'ll save you the $37.60 labor price for both front and back. The guide holes are already there. You just need to drill through them in order to insert the screws.
