how should anyone with a small scratch on the hood about 2mm fix it?
how can this be easily fixed.
anyone pls
thks
touch up paint and a toothpick...the brush is way too big
slowly layer the paint on, letting each layer dry before the next
when the scratch is filled, let it dry, and wax over it

is it a chip or a scratch?
Fine scratches can be easily removed using ScratchX from Meguires.

If you do have chips, try the Langka stuff...it really works!!!! I wasn\'t too sure if it would work but thought I would just give it a try, and man it\'s awesome. Here\'s a tutorial that Oliver posted.

Yes, most of us have received it free of charge from the dealership.

woof woof..
ok.. off topic but.. so umm along the lines of swearing.. what\'s allowed and not.. b/c some posts get edited.. and i know sometimes i kinda get a potty mouth but it would be easier if we had some guidelines or at least if the busy mods could edit posts equally that\'d be a bit more fair.. but then again who wants to police this $h!t..

Okay, I just finished painting the scratches. Patiently waiting for the paint to dry. I will let you know the result tomorrow.

Alright, I applied Langka this morning to remove excess paint. It works like a charm but it is very hard not to remove the filling at the same time. My finding is you have to take your time to wipe the blob down and try not to use too much pressure. My first attempt is a bust, I will try it again. Good luck to you all.

I tried to mix the paint & clear coat together before applying on the chip. The result is amazing and it takes half the time to dry. Give it a try.

if there's still clearcoat visible on the scratch (meaning the paint portion of the paint isn't exposed yet) i would definitely give meguiars scatchx a go. it will take a bit of elbow grease but it should fix er right up.

Are these products easily available from Canadian tire or Walmart? I have some old cars that can use a bit of scratch removal.

ScratchX is available at those places. If you want the colour for your car, you could try the dealership or goto NAPA and get a spray bomb.
