Hi, I have an 07 3 gs, anyways, I was trying to feed a wire through the molex connector in the front driver's side door jamb, I tried for hours and I just can't get the molex connector out, I put it back in as well as the rubber shroud around it, and now my door ajar light is on and won't turnoff, even when all doors are closed and driving. Any suggestions on how to get the molex out? And reasons why the light is on, could the molex connector be loose? Anything would help, thanks in advance!

07 is going to be pretty hard to get apart if it's never been removed before. Have you compared it to the passenger side to see if there are any obvious differences between the two ? Some pictures would help us possibly diagnose this issue.

I notice the speaker wire that is routed through the molex. It's hard to tell from the picture but does it go through the molex cut-out back into the car ? If so could that be just enough interference to preclude the molex from coming out ? Can you get behind the molex to try and work it free ? You may have to remove some of the kick panels to get in there.

That was a picture from a Mazda 6 forum, mine is just the molex without the wire ran through, I just can't get the molex out from the door, I'm pretty much stuck here http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160512/a95c67ee37de4e56d86e6e6f4919db44.jpg

Well unless you can somehow get behind it and work it free, your other option could be to bend/cut the metal back to enlarge the hole slightly. Just don't do it where the 4 white tabs connect at the top and bottom so it will stay back in properly. The rubber housing will cover up any damaged metal and you can also cover that part of the metal with Vaseline or grease to further protect against rust. I had to do this in my door as the front speakers I installed did not fit without cutting the metal and bending it back.

Makes sense thanks, I'll try precision flat head screwdriver. If not I'll cut and use silicone to take it out.

Yup that will work too, as long as you have a barrier against humidity. It's not like it's an area that is directly exposed to high levels of moisture so it'll be fine. Given that it's an 07 I'm sure there's other areas on the car you would be more concerned about rust :) Good luck !

Here is what I found which may help you. Note: This is for an 09 but it should be the same for your 07.

White (W) and gray (GY) are for the front door speaker, white is + and gray is -. Both front doors are the same. For the rear doors it is slightly different, white cable/violet stripe is + and gray cable/white stripe is -.
