Hey Everyone,
I don't post often because I honestly don't have time, however recently my car has been making a weird noise. At idle, the exhaust rattles. I thought it was the heat shield, however upon further inspection I narrowed it down to the exhaust tip. I know this because if you grab the exhaust tip (with a cloth or something to avoid burning your hand) it stops rattling. You let go, it rattles again. I was looking into doing a resonator and second cat delete anyways, so does anyone know of a place which could help me out.....on a budget? Looking to spend as little as possible as my school is currently stealing all my money.

Thanks!

P.S. The car is an 05 Mazda 3, 2.0 L.

You have rattling problems but you're thinking about deleting your resonator and cat? Going backwards there. If you want to check out whats rattling, you don't need an exhaust shop for that. Go to your local mechanic and have them check it out.

Also check out Quick Muffler Shop on Dufferin south of Lawrence. They replaced my muffler with an aftermarket for quite a good price and (more importantly) work was decent as well.

Could be a broken exhaust hanger. I had that happen on my car.
