Hi All! First post here.

I have a newish 2015 Mazda3 GS (auto hatch) that I bought last year. Still only 4600km, so it really hasnt been used too often.

Just noticed that when accelerating after a dead stop (i.e., traffic light) there's a small/subtle rattling/clunking sound coming from the front of the car. Only happens when I step on the gas (if I take my foot off the brakes and let the car move forward, there's no sound) and it disappears after a 2 or 3 seconds.

Any ideas?

Take it in asap, warranty should cover whatever it is. A clunking at launch could be a ball joint.

This happened to my 2012 Mz3 hatch yesterday. I noticed a small grinding sound at the front end of my car when I accelerated from a stop. Haven't happened since then though.

Would you suggest I take it in to my dealership or a trusted mechanic?

Thanks

Sounds like a CV axle joint. Confused as to why it sounds bad that early.
