I have one but I have yet to set it up. My bro in law suggested I pick one up after we played a ton of older games on his the other day. He also installed Kodi. Hoping to see him family day weekend so he can help me set mine up. (We used wii and xbox remotes for the games). Oh and for fun he also installed a fart detector on his (air quality sensor)

I only have the Raspberry Pi2, much different with the 3? I have mine running solely as a media centre with Kodi.

as far as i know the pi3 has built in wifi, that might be in. i was going to load codi but im not sure how to switch between retro pi and back. it came with a noob set up menu already but again i didnt know how to switch from that to the games which is the whole reason why i got it. so right now its dedicated to the retropi

yea i get the roms from emuparadise but i will have a look through that site i do like how on yours it can download in sets. i wonder if in each set it will have all the weird modded ones and japan ones. because i dont want those. . i ordered it off amazon cost 110 plus shipping and tax. $70 for the controller. think i need to reset the bluetooth.
i ordered it off amazon. showed up in about a week. couldnt believe it. going to load Kodi on it tonight and program that up tomorrow.... if i have time and im not playing / downloading games.. but time to dust off the laptop! then i can do both :)

Ya i figure its easier to get whole rom packs. SD cards arent that much so not worries about the storage.
70$ for a controller? what kind of controller did you get?
for kodi. look into the pulse build. its great and ive never had issues with it or anyone that ive loaded it for.

Whenever the basement is done i may look into making an arcade build with a pie. should be interesting.

Oh nice. I have one of those at home I use with the wii U. Didn't think of it. Just a heads up they go on sale at best buy every once in a while.
How's the lag with it. From what I've been reading controller lag is the biggest problem with retropie depending on the controller.

its actually not that bad. mine has the lastest version which apparently have fixed lots of those issues.
