Sounds like it's coming from my front left Sturt, I'm thinking strut Mount.
Any help would be great before I purchase new parts.

You need a second person.
Have them turn the wheel like that and then you can listen closer to the problem.

Could this have caused a problem in the mount?

Doesn't look like anything is damaged there. Looks can be deceiving though.

There's rust built up at the very top? Would that affect the mount bearings? I'm new to all of this sorry about the questions

Unless the spring is broken no it would not. Your boot is shot but no signs of any leaking so no problem there. Like was mentioned you need a 2nd person to get a focused spot on the car.

I get a noise like that on my 2010, but it's a bit of play from the pinion gear of the steering shaft to the steering rack. You could have a bad tie rod, too

To be honest it sounds like it's coming from the inner tie rod or steering rack. Really hoping it's a tie rod so it's not an expensive repair.
