View Full Version : Be careful when using Photobucket for hosting images

As of June 1, Photobucket has changed their policy in regards to hot-linking images. It used to be free and has been for years but unfortunately it isn't anymore. The now are asking for a $400/yr subscription fee to allow hot-linking. You will now notice any place a photobucket image was used has now been changed to the image below.
I would suggest you start using other methods to hosting images as I can't see them allowing free 3rd-party hosting anymore.

so many DIY and build threads gone cause of this. :(
I deleted every single photo that i had on there and deleted my account. there is no way i'm paying for it. I highly doubt many ppl paid.

Yep! So many TM3 images are gone forever now. It's really a shame. Photobucket really ****ed up.

Your image won't show up unless you have a direct link with an extension (i.e. .jpg/.png/etc)
Your link works fine though.

Use this tool - https://ctrlq.org/google/photos/ , paste in the shareable link from Google, and it generates an embed code.
