Hi went to mot about the recall notice for rusty sub frame on my 2010 Mazda6 and was told at first there was no recall it when they check their system, than after having a "wait a minute moment" showed them the recall notice on mazda.ca. They say I have to make appointment and be charged $65 for inspecting my car....Is that common practice to have to pay just to inspect for recall? Thnks

Maybe you should contact Mazda Canada and ask them directly if that is proper procedure or not. I believe for a recall there should be no 'Inspection fee'.

there are no fees for any recalls, all recalls are charged to mazda corporate, even if warranty has expired
the letter you received should have explained this... if not, call mazda canada and ask

First of all do not pay for the inspection.
Secondly. This particular recall is much more than a recall...
Call me as soon as you can. (647)404-2874
