Security Indicator Light

Question about the Security Indicator Light, is it suppose to blink all the time when the engine is off, and the key is removed? Maybe it has been doing this all along, and I just noticed now? It states in the manual if the car doesn’t start with the correct key, and the indictor keeps illuminating or flashing, the system may have malfunctioned, but there is no mention of condition of the indicator, when the car is turned off. Could someone please clarify this for me? Thanks.

Yup, it will blink all of the time even when the key is removed from the ignition. Just like an LED that flashes when an aftermarket alarm is armed.

Yep, it does blink once the ignition if off.
