Name something that is used a the general term for a product but is actually a brand name. For example, Kleenex is actually a brand of tissue paper. Can you name any others?

-Xerox sort of works: \"I xeroxed 50 copies\"
-IBM used to be the name for the PC even after they released the rights
An interesting note about the Aspirin one, Bayer (the company that owns the name I think) actually didn\'t want the name to become the generic because then they would have lost the right to it as a trademark. I\'m not sure what the final outcome of it was though.

Most of these products have either been first to create a catchy title, more available, or first to invent. So people got used to the name and used it because they didnt want to be bothered to think or find out what kind of brand it was.
So I guess to add to you list I would say..
