i used to go every year.. and i wouldn\'t be surprised if i didn\'t go this year.. most of the \'nicer\' cars are usually locked and posters are fairly scarce.. lots of ppl too unless u go REALLY early and even then large crowds..

(laugh) Yeah.... Last year I made my boyfriend wait a good hour while I drooled and awwed and purred and petted the RX8 and the Mazda3..... damn.... who would\'ve thought I could have done that 6 months later on my own driveway (snicker) :D I swear I almost slept in my car the first night :P

I\'m going on the last Friday of February and will stay 6+ hours. 63 hrs weren\'t enough last year - and yes I sit in every car, including the Kias :)

If we do go on a weekend...

1) make it the 2nd weekend, not all the prototypes and unvailings are done by the first weekend

2) it will be more crowded than on a weekday, you won\'t be able to sit in as many of the cars, and more manufactures lock the cars on the weekend (Sales staff to people ratio is too low)

Well my dad is actually pretty enthusiastic about this year\'s autoshow as he is planning on buying anew car in 05.

Soo..... I\'m going to be headed there later today (Saturday). If anyone is going to be there, give my cell a ring: 416-529-1555

I\'ll be there from open till about 2-3 PM.

Apparently the MZSpeed6 will be there, so I\'ll be sure to take tons of pics of that.

I don\'t know if anyone else experiences this, but I think I\'m gonna start attending the CIAS every 2yrs. Not much changes were evident in the overall delivery of the show and there were not too many concept cars out there. Pretty much like a SportCompactCarShow. Once you\'ve seen one during a season, the others are repeat entrances that do the circuit. But damn, I like them SCC girls especial TRD, PAS Mag Girls and others.

this is exactly whu i didn\'t go this year for the first year in a looong while.. now that i own a car, i probably won\'t go again for 2-3 years till i\'m ready to trade/buy a new one.. plus the posters have declined/disappeared and the crowds are just annoying.. i\'ll have a look at someone else\'s pix :D

I\'m curious as hell how the Mazda 5; built on the Mazda 3 extended platform to seat 6 people will manage in the Horsepower to Weight Ratio driveability issues while running @ 157hp 2.3L and with the unknown torque rating not listed in my brochure.

This is North America where the people are fatter and heavier in general. And to literally Haul Ass a powerful engine is a necessity. It is supposed to be bigger than the M3 yet smaller than the MPV. It has two sliding doors and tonnes of cargo space configurations.

Also the autotranny option will just kill the power yet it will be offered in 5speed (the right speed.)I\'ll be keeping my eyes open to this model as it peaks my interest. Imagine a nice small wagon-ish ghetto cruiser with a wall of subs in the back and lowered chasis.;)

It\'s reminding me of a stretched P5 with a raised sloping roof and two sliding doors. Or, does it remind me of a Ford Focus with the same done to it? I wanna test drive one with 5 other 200lb passengers when it hits the showroom. Oh yeah the torque rating is 148lbs at ??? and it\'s starting price is 20K.
