Made in Japan vs. Mexico

Wondering if there is link/research out there or data that showcases the craftsmanship and reliability of Made in Japan vs Mexico Mazdas. I've only heard it through word of mouth from mechanics that Made in Japan is better but can't find the evidence. If anyone can share their experience that would be great.

Are parts same as japan builds ?
If it is then its all about build quality...
