Sad gut-check time. My 13' speed has been a garage queen since mid 2015 when I stopped using it to commute. I try to bring it out on short errands or a pleasure cruise from time to time, but as life conditions have changed, so have priorities. We have a CX5, bought another house, and have a little one on the way.

The car still brings a smile to my face and I fondly remembering finally realizing the dream of having a "nice sporty car", but lately I've been debating whether to sell the car or not. It's now 7 years old (!!!) and although it only has 61k on it, I'm wondering if it'd be better to sell it to a good owner and move on, since there is no current need for a second car and it could very well be depreciating in value.

A few places I've looked have pegged the value at between $12-$16k which would be nice as a nest egg (or means of down payment on another car down the road)... What would you do?

If you aren't driving it, sell it while it has value.

Ya tough call ... im sure you thought about it emotional and logically.
Priorities ...family comes first.
You can always explore a 2nd/weekend/track/hobby/re-build/ Car...when you have more time and money.

If you aren’t driving it... or if you do t need to drive it... sell it.

You’ll make more money the sooner you sell it, and save money on the insurance

I agree with the others, sell it while you can still get good coin for it.

At your mileage $15-16K is very reasonable. But I'd be tempted to offer you $12K cash. ; )

When I sold my 11 Mazda speed, I had that, a Mazda 2 for commuting and my wife at the time had a CX5.
I felt having all 3 became a bit redundant. I decided to sell it so I'd have a decent amount for a something else.
