You can do it yourself, it\'s quite easy. The tire shop that I usually go to offered to paint mine for free (once I had purchased rims and tires from them...I decided against it).

In the past I used MotorMaster high heat engine enamal from CT cause it was cheap.
However, it does fade quite quickly so I recomend the VHT caliper paint from CT (dont buy it from a performance sho cause they charge too much)
I have used this quite a bit now and find that the colour stays vibrant for quite some time!
Its a very very very basic and easy DIY...just tape off all that you dont want painted (struts, etc) and go to town!

Use Dupli-Color. It comes with a cleaner, brush and paint of course. I think it comes in blue, red, yellow and black.

If you don\'t race your car, rust paint works fine.... Comes in all sorts of different colours too. The only down side is that it takes hours to dry.

And is not high heat and fades quickly...

That\'s why I said if you don\'t race your car. The guy at work used it and it looks good for a few years.

Racing the car wont make a difference. The rotors and brakes will be unbarably hot, but not the caliper. Go out for a VERY spirited drive, park, and tounch the caliper :D It will be cool. If you touch the rotor you\'ll be sorry! lol
I have used the VHT spray once and the Duplicolor spray once, and I liked both, with no complaints.

The dupli-color that I saw is not a spray but is applied with a brush. Any pro\'s or con\'s with either?

It\'s easier to control with a brush on kit, since you don\'t have to mask everything. A spray on kit, unless you remove the caliper and spray it elsewhere, you\'ll have to mask your rotor, suspension, wheelwell and perhaps part of the fender.
However, you can cut open a pop can, spray the paint into the can and use a brush to apply the paint onto your caliper.
is the VHT kit brush?? if it is.. i think im going for that.. im not a good sprayer :p
how layers do you guys normally do?

I used Dupli-color silver and it turned out very nice. Well worth the $ 20 and half day it took to do it

Do you need to sand anything down?

nope i just used a srub brush and the brake cleaner that came with the kit . then wait for brake cleaner to dry , will take no time at all . then tape off areas you dont want painted then paint . very easy ! just take your time it will be worth it in the end :)

Newlook and I both painted our calipers together. Split the cost etc.

so i searched, and searched . . . nothing really on caliper colour suggestions!
anyone know or think what colour will work with velocity red? painting them red would look kinda just a little too much red . . .
hmmm can\'t really picture any good colour to go with red :(
i don\'t think i can say RED anymore :p
