you see the ripple effect and how the wave was able to reach the coasts of Africa. as a reference, it took 2 hours for the wave to hit Sri Lanka.

There was one photo at the site that Majestic posted that, I believe, showed the waterline receeding about 34 meters before the tsunami struck!

I was shocked when it hit S.Africa after 9 hrs later after the 1st one.

I think it was the worst boxing day for the SE Asia countries.
