Hey guys,

I haven\'t been a member long enough to experience the whole club scene... but as of yesterday I no longer have a Mazda3...

What a way to start the new year...

Coming back from Ottawa some chick with her boyfriend in her parents Camery decided to end my Winning Blue 3 Sedan prematurely... :(

The car is a total write off! Thankfully none of us were hurt...

Now the hunt begins for another car..

I wish safe driving for everyone!! Especially in the winter!!! I\'ll be seeing most of you at Meeting of the Mazda\'s in the new season....

Thanks for the responses guys... I\'ve had bad luck with winter cars in general... I\'m just grateful nobody was hurt...

As for how it happened, well, the chick was inexperienced for winter conditions. She lost control going East bound while I was going Westbound. Out in the middle of no where! (between Perth and Carlton Place off of Hwy7) Because of the freezing rain she started to lose visability through the windshield. Didn\'t realize she was getting too close to the shoulder.. got onto the shoulder, over corrected and then skidded right into our lane... All of it happened so fast. Before we knew it she was heading our direction with my car no where to go but straight...
Such is life... OPP took down the reports, our cars got flatbedded out of the way and the rest is history... :(

If any of you guys are in a severe crash like that, just remember to get out of the car as fast as possible... Those airbags go off really fast but when they do they release alot of toxic fumes. Not to mention all the smoke... sequence of events is: the hit, airbags deploy, interior lights come on, airbags deflate just as fast as they\'re deployed, and you try to get the car to stop... I couldn\'t see anything outside because of the interior lights lighting up...

In truth the airbags didn\'t do anything... None of us hit them... All they did was obscure what was coming up next.. I\'m sure alot of people would have had their hands or wrists cut because alot of people driving our cars drive them \"gangster\" style.. You know, 1 arm in the middle of the wheel and laid back! I have no idea how people drive like that.

I\'m sure I could have done a bit more to save the car if those damn airbags weren\'t apart of the car!

I have yet to hear from the insurance company (statory holiday today). I might get a new 3, or I might opt for something else... regardless, it\'ll likely be another Mazda... I just hope it\'s a rear wheel drive Mazda instead.. ;)

You got that right! I\'ve been rearended 5 times now, luckily they all occured at low speeds and no damage. I had my old car for 10 years and never got hit once, I\'ve had my winning blue for a year and it\'s been hit 6 times now :(

Well, I got word from my insurance today... I know the car is a write off.. they still have to send somebody up there... as it turns out my policy says I get the exact same thing... So I\'m getting another 3 wether I want to or not... lol

So yet another Winning Blue sedan is going to be ordered.... I just hope they can get it to me quickly... I hate driving around rentals.. ;)

Mine\'s been hit 3 times already. :(
1st time...hit and run...someone swiped my bumper while my car was parked on a driveway
2nd time...someone cut into me and clipped my front bumper
3rd time...doing a u turn on a side street, some \'hole in a Cavalier decides it\'d be a good idea to pass me on the left, and on a single lane road at that...hits my front left corner

And I had a little accident with the snowbank on Christmas eve. :(

woohoo.. sorry to hear all your sad stories =(..

ive had my cars for almost a year , umm i only hit it 3 times..

1. during summer, while backin in , the car opposite to me was parked way over the line, and i couldnt see his front bumper n hit it.. but there was no scratch or anyhting

2. was driving in the snow and suddenly went out of control and went on a snow bank and scratch my front bumper in the bottom.. but no1 can see it

3. was turning out a church.. some woman infront of me doesnt even know how to drive.. she was turning right at a red light.. no car was coming.. so i thought she would go.. but then she stopped, and i hit her rear bumper.. then she came out and started cussing at me :hoho wow wat a christian.. she kept sayin how her mother got hurt cuz there was a loud sound when i crashed into her... but no damage was done.. she just kept talkin n talkin.. until some other GOOD christian came up and shut her up.. lol... then she was like \" well kid im going hv to drive my mother to the hospital now f*** you\" lol.. then i just got back into my car and drove away
