If you do use it, in what situations? I\'ve always wanted to give this thing a try, but it only four gears you\'ll have gone through all of them before you even know it.

I really rarely use it, mainly when showing of the car to someone who hasn\'t been in it before. I find that passing on the highway isn\'t really an issue and if you need to accelerate quickly the transmission is pretty responsive as it is. Plus I have a fear I\'ll forget to shift and blow the engine......... :zzz

I use it when I\'m in slow traffic and I need to make a quick lane change.

I put it in 2nd to start off on snow packed icy slippery roads. With the OEM17\" tires I\'ve found this much better than starting off in D1. It\'s also nice for slowing down on roads like this-at least around town.

I use manual mode in the city, and auto mode on the highway, unless it is bumper—to-bumper traffic. I try to reduce the number of times the transmission shifts, as the auto mode downshifts to often when for example, just slowing down to cross a rail-way track. I mainly let it downshift on it’s own, and don’t gear down too often. Also, in city driving will only go as high as third, when I know I have to stop or turn in only a short distance, again, to reduce the number of shifts.

Used when going uphill (401 express exit to 404 north).

I only use the \"ATX manual mode\" in stop-and-go traffic or when the roads are covered in snow.

I use it to race once in a while, but it really helps stop the car in a hurry if you downshift right. With the GT\'s awesome brakes plus downshifting I often find my self looking in the rearview mirror while doing this making sure I\'m not about to get rear ended because the car behind me cant stop as fast.

I only use it during bad weather. Since the car doesn\'t have traction control, I figure the best way around that would be to use the manual mode.
