hey,
so recently i got some w300s on my car from tires23, amazing tires that go with the amazing dealers, and during instalation billy(dude installing them) said i have a camber problem when he was taking off my rear wheels.
now to my knowledge all mazda3\'s have this \"problem\" with the rear tires as they stick in. but it seems that they wear out the tires extremely fast, cause now my tires are extremely worn out almost ot the piont of being un-usuable.
do i have a case with mazda? im not really a spirited driver, and im aware a little of this sticking in can help handling, but if it takes away my tire life this much, then i dont want it. i called ym dealer and they said they can \"fix it\" if i bring it in but they are going ot do a 4 wheel allignment which would cost 100 bucks. which sucks
plz help. thx

post a pic of your car on a perfectly level surface with no weight in the trunk.
do you drive around with 100lbs in your trunk (hyperbole but it could be true)? did you hit something recently?
also post a pic of your tires. if you have a -ve camber problem, the inside of the tire will be worn more than the outside.

umm,
lol well i drive with me in the car, tehres a couple hundred pounds haha. but seriously during the weekdays i give rides to friends from school to home. also my dad owns a restuarant so i sometimes help him buy some stuff, like pop and other heavy stuff, but thats very rare cause the pathfinder usually handles that.
yeah thats exaatly how my tire is, half of it is worn beyond being believeable and half of it looks good. where do u want em to take the picture of my car? as in what kind of picture are u looking for(profile, back?) i have pictures of my tires no where to host, mind me sending them to you?
thx
EDIT: no accidents so far, except a minor fender bender, which ended up as 100 bucks out of my wallet and a bent liscene plate holder at the front, but thats it.

zaku, you can attach pictures in replies (box just above the submit reply area).
in the service manual, there is no way to adjust rear camber, only toe-in. it specifies that specs for rear camber are -1º09\' (empty tank) to -1º18\' (full tank).
there\'s something else out of whack with that rear wheel portion (hub, wheel bearing, etc) that a wheel alignment won\'t \"cure\". best to get the car on an alignment rack to see what the specs are currently and then diagnose from there.
EDIT: one other question, how many KMs on your car, and have you been rotating the tires frequently?

umm my car is only like what 10-11 months old? got it last march. and im refering to the way the wheel goes into the car, when seen from the back. if its not camber then its toe in? which ever one leans inward.
pictures soon
EDIT: lol btw i have 22500km on the car

when looking from the back, if the top of the wheel goes towards the middle of the car, that\'s negative camber.
when looking at the tire from the top of the car (i.e. stand beside the tire and look directly down), if the front of the tire is angled in excessively, you have a too much toe-in.
