2.3 cartridge filters

Once again the 2.3 cartridge oil filter now includes both o-rings required to do the oil change. Retail price is $10.95.

and if anyone is wondering waht $61 is for, this is how much it will cost you to convert from cartridge to spin-on filters (much easier to DIY oil changes (less messy and no plastic housing to break)

Spin-On Filter Mount:[Part # L301-14-310]
Spin-On Filter Gasket: [Part # LF01-14-342]
Spin-On Filter: [Part # LF10-14-302]

PS: mazda6i(us) = mazda6 GS(cdn) = mazda3 GT(cdn) enginewise hence the conversion applies

cool, i THINK i might wait a bit more till it gets warmer b/c right now i\'m not really in the mood to change anything in this rain/cold weather. I\'ll see how quickly my next oil change comes up. if i go mobil1 0W20, then i\'ll most likely DIM and then do the conversion. 6000km in 6 weeks .. yoy!

Isn\'t the cartridge filters suppose to work better than the spin on ones?

Why would you want to rob the engine of that benefit?
