Pirelli SnowSport 210

Good tire. The stock RSA\'s were useless on snow and ice.

I have actually done pretty well without snow tires. Depending on how much snow fall just tells me wether 2nd or 3rd is my grip gear. No real problems getting around or anything. Only had to use the handbrake a handful of times. All in all its been good to me.

I got hankooks W300s as well and they are AWESOME on our slushy highways!! Even on ice they faired prettyy well today. I mean any winter tire will be much better than an all-season one.. having said that, Zaku_4 just take it easy, it\'s winter and we don\'t want to hear about mazda3s hitting poles or ending up in a ditch b/c someone wanted to see if they can take a corner at 60kph! :sarc

Michelin Arctic Alpin PA2 on the stock 15\" alloys. Great tire although they\'re a little expensive. The jury\'s out on tire wear, I\'ll have to wait until I switch back to my summers to properly compare the fronts and rears.

With the amount of highway driving I do I\'d be pretty stupid not to invest in some winter tires. W300\'s for me. Cut through highway slush like butta!

No - We\'ve had no snow yet! I\'ll probably get a set next season if it actually snows. :-)

Yeah I will live with the all seasons this winter and probably get winter tires next winter.

Question, I have the stock 17\" on the car right now, would it be a good idea to get 17\" rims and snow tires? or get a smaller rim and tire for the snow?

smaller.. downsize 1

1) u\'ll save $ on rubbers
2) u\'ll have more choice in 16s
3) u\'ll save much more on rubbers
4) u\'ll save money on steelies (don\'t get alloys)

Thanks! Will this effect my speedometer?

not if you keep the overal diameter identical..

eg. stock 205/50/17
+1 225/40/18 (when going 60mph speedo says 60 - 0.1% differnce
-1 205/55/16 (when going 60mph speedo says 59.5 - 0.8% difference

play with the tire calc here (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html)

narrower tires are better for winter so a 195/60/16 would be better (if you can get one that size)

I got Nordic IceTrac tires and steelies. For like $400 I wont complain! :D

Awsome tire (Second set) and they are made by Michelin for Crappy Tire.
