umm,

wtf 1 engine choice? shit thats messed up, i really liked the old jetta\'s styling, most people say its boxy, i tell them THEIR MOM IS BOXY. rofl =p j/k i dunno maybe its just me but the old jetta with the sport perf package makes it look crazy good. 1.8t jettaaaaaaaa weeeee, i would of goten that if i wasent to in a rush to buy a car, and didint see the mazda3

I sat in the new Jetta GLI at the NAIAS and I wasn\'t impressed. They ruined this car!

The (current) 2004.5 MKIV GLI (the one that comes STOCK with 18\" BBS RCs) is one of my favorite cars. Too bad it\'ll be gone soon. :(

The golf, as much as I like it, looks like it hijacked the RSX headlights.

Its gonna have a few engine choices however the first on the market will be the new 2.5L 150hp inline5 as the base.

Later the Jetta/GTI will have 2.0L 16V 4 cylinder turbo (2.0T) = 200hp as well as a 1.9L 100hp PD TDI. And *possibly* a 3.6L VR6 which has been rumoured to be offered in a R36 model with 260-280hp & 4motion

People who have seen the MK5 Jetta in person tell me that pics dont do justice. It looks better with dark colours and the interior is just amazing.

However just like with previous generations MK2 complained about the MK3 and MK3 complained about the MK4 it is inevitable that we complain about the MK5.

Personally I prefer the GTI minus the ugly wheels.
