Redline MTX Fluid

From this thread (http://www.mazda3forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=14645) it sounds like Mazda would deny coverage if you used Redline fluid? My big question is whether the Redline fluid has all them fancy stamps of approval (certifications of standards) on the jug, in which case if they meet the standards, I would tell Mazda Canada to screw off if they denied coverage.

Redline fluids meet or even exceed the Mazda recomended fluid. I\'m not 100% sure but last time I checked MTX fluid was 10W30 oil.

Here\'s a good link on changing the MTX fluid in the 2.3L (http://www.mazda6tech.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=45&Itemid=) ...it\'s for a mazda6 2.3 but also applies to the mazda3 2.3L

they use Redline MT-90 75w90 GL-5 fluid.

Oh yeah must be the Ford tranny\'s only. I remember the Civic\'s would take just regular 10w30 oil.

Thanks guys. Wonder if the 2.0 is basically the same? That pic of the plastic \"turkey-baster\" type thingie - is that at the top of the engine or from the bottom? If entry is from the bottom, how do you stop the tranny fluid from coming out of the hole?

Has anyone replaced their MTX fluid with Redline yet? At what km did you do it? Is it like the recommended synthetic engine oil - wait for 5K or something like that to let the seals \"break in\"?

Pacific Mall...the store Formula Import has it. ~$15/quart (946ml)

Try going to the Parts Counter at Canadian Tire and asking them if they can order it. CT stocks other Redline stuff like Water Wetter and their engine oil.

Tires23 is having a special (at least it\'s posted as a special for the Toronto Subaru Club). $12/quart or something like that. I\'m sure if you twist Martin hard enuf he\'ll crack...

Thanks Nathan. We are offering special on REDLINE products for TM3 members, but I have to speak to Lawrence first.

We do have both Redline 75W90 NS (GL5) or non NS in stock.
