Hi,

I\'m having a problem with my car and would like to take it to another mazda dealership to see if they can find a soloution. Anyone have any reviews of Downtown Mazda or Erin Mills Mazda?

Downtown Mazda is pretty good, but they tend not to stock many parts. Everything needs to be ordered.

Never tried Erin Mills but from what I\'ve read the service was less than satisfactory.

Why not try Avante Toronto? ;)

Avoid Erin Mills at all costs....

They are terrible. Plain and simple.

re: Downtown Mazda

I don\'t know about their service but I can definitely say don\'t buy from them. One of their salesman tried to rip me off when I was getting a quote for my car. I ended up buying from Avante!

same here some old frenchman told me he\'d give me a better deal than anyone else and then beat it by 1000, I came to him with a quote for 27,000 tax in and he balked.
I then sat there for another 30 minutes while he still tried to sell me the same car for 31K,

I felt really bad for my girl who was also there with me, We had everything to buy it there and then and all she got was 30mins of staring at this guy while I verbally bitchslapped him.

I did an oil change @ erin mills as it\'s pretty much across the street from me, I\'d been warned but really what can go wrong with an oil change...

which dealer gives us good rates on oil changes??? I remember someone mentioning it here before...

DO NOT go to Erin Mills. They don\'t know anything!! I have a story about Erin Mills: My cousin\'s b/f who had a protege and he had some problems with his gearbox so he took it to Erin Mills to get it checked out. the place had the damn car for a week and kept saying that his short shifter was the problem. After a lot of arguing, my cousin\'s b/f just gets fed up and tells the place to just put it back together and he\'ll go somewhere else. i tell them to go to Westowne and they take one look at the thing and say that the short shifter has installed backwards.. they install it correctly and everything is fine... 15mins at westowne and they are out!! that\'s what you call product knowledge and customer service!! Moral of the story: DO NOT GO TO ERIN MILLS!!!:)

Yeah, I\'ll back you up on the sales statement. Downtown Mazda can\'t compete pricewise with some of the volume dealers. Especially the Auto-malls. Avante and Prima had no problem whatsoever in matching my price.

My experience with them wasn\'t great. The salesman was a nice guy thou, got me down to their showroom but they wanted a cash! deal, I said \"no\" and that was it. The price was too low for them. Even though Avante and Prima could match it and give me the financing.

They\'re just waiting for some sucker to walk into their showroom without doing their homework.

Downtown Mazda can\'t compete in services either... Two weeks ago when I went in to see if they had any all-season floor mats, no one paid any attention to me... and I walked into the showroom too... I\'m just glad that I bought my 3 from Avante :p

I had the exact situation while shopping for my m3 - save yourself time and buy some place else. As for the service deptmt - I cannot say.

After hearing the stories about erin mills i decided to check it out for myself. I have ask the salesman questions that people may encounter with any problems that might occur with the mazda 3 and the salesman said nothing goes wrong in with our cars...and etc.

i dunno if erin mills is reliable.

I went last night to but a 3. The service was good, but when it got to actual NUMBERS it was kinda shady till they FINALLY showed me what I was paying for.

which dealership did you go to?

Always negotiate on the OTR/OTD price, and if you\'re financing tell them to include the bank fee in there as well. Its a $65 cdn fee the banks charge them for financing any vechile.

Al, an East Indian service advisor, at Downtown Mazda is great. Polite and very service oriented. Brought the Miata there for service several times and always top-notch service.

There are others who are quite questionable. One of them tried to deny one of the spring service specials included the oil change, but luckily Al was there to take over.

Here\'s the kicker: if you work downtown, drive in during the day, get a shuttle to Royal Bank Plaza and get picked up there again at the end of the day... free parking!

I leased my 053GT from Erin Mills as they are close. i did my homework, knew the prices, lease calculations/rate and shopped around. Erin Mills initially quoted me $450 a month tax in ... crazy. I asked the salesman why their quote was $85 more a month than the lease quote I did online ... no answer. The manager came out and said they can do it for $360 (this was for a GT no GFX at the time) so i asked why I was quoted $450 5 minutes earlier? no answer. I thanked them for their time and started walk as the manager continued saying they could do it for $350 then $340.

I find this game fun but I know many would be annoyed by these tactics. I did end up buying there as it was convenient and I did get the price I wanted.

My first impression was that EM was a joke. Overall though I had a decent experience.

Based on the comments here I think I\'ll service the car elsewhere.

Anyone been to Oakville Mazda?

Definitely avoid Erin Mills. The sales staff know nothing. I asked about discounts, factory rebates, etc. and they wouldnt tell me anything. All they said was \"what do you want to pay for this car\". Talk about trying to rip people off. Luckily I knew about the incentives from mazda canada and had checked cars4u.com to find out exactly what I should be paying. They dont tell you when you will get your car, they dont return phone calls, and they have excuses ready for everything. I only bought from them because they gave me an amazing deal on my trade (thankefully they are buying a car that will be dead in a few weeks, they didnt even test drive it) and because its 5 minutes from my house. I will definitely not be going their for any service.

I have just ordered a 2005 Mazda3 Sport GT from Erin Mills Mazda and I have to say that the sales rep tried to rip me off! I got my Protege 5 from the place when I had a friend working there. Now he is no longer there and I went in lease another vehicle. He tried to screw me and spent 2 hours pressuring me so sign a deal so he could present it to his manager. I said no several times and walked out. When I went back this morning (after a night of number crunching) I realized he was screwing me for almost $52.00 a month! I ended up talking to the sale manager to do the deal and he convinced me I got a good deal. I believe I did after checking this board of what people paid.

I ordered a Mazda3 Sport GT w/Air/Auto/GFX/Moonroof/Tint/Lock nuts and OTR for $27916.00 - This was even after they practically ate $3240.00 I still owed for 9 months payments on my last lease.

I think it was pretty good for me, but stay away from Erin Mills Mazda unless you are looking for a fight with a sales rep.

Hey krakor, did they say how long it would be until you get delivery? I\'ve been waiting 5 weeks now for my car from Erin Mills. They do pressure like crazy, and I had a fight with the business and sales managers a week and a half ago. Such a bad dealership.
