Someone PLEASE explain what happened!!
So today, the day after the big snowstorm, I was trying to
reverse out of my driveway. Of course, the RS-A\'s couldn\'t
grip anything, so the wheels started to spin.

PROBLEM:
my brother was standing outside the car, he told me my
Driver side tire was NOT spinning at all!!, just the Passenger side!!
This happened as the engine wa revving high, if i didn\'t hit the
gas, it would turn in unison, but as I applied more pressure to the
gas, it would stop and the other would spin out.

Someone PLEASE tell me what\'s going on!!

Thanks,
Ray

we have an open differential. the tire with the least resistance will spin in splippery situations like what you experienced.

if there was a limited slip differential, in that situation, both wheels would turn.

TCS = Traction Control System...sumthing thats on the Axela yet never made it to the 3...it did make it to the S40 and the Focus though. If you had TCS, rather than the wheel spinning like crazy, it would spin, stop, spin, stop, etc, etc...like the reverse of ABS...

Ya.. lim-slip would be useful in our cars....

Then again so would the S40\'s AWD system :p

I\'ve learned how our cars handle in the snow. I\'m pretty good at not spinning the tires now.
