View Full Version : Will FedEx comply or laugh at me?

Last night I finally wrote a complaint letter address to FedEx;

Some of you know I had ordered a full aftermarket exhaust system for my car a while back. FedEx shipped it to my door and of course the customs bill came (bill was back in December and actually arrived during the first week I was out of the country). So anyways, I paid off that customs/brokerage bill ($161!!!!!) without bitching, on the Monday back in office. No probs.

During the third week of January, I received ANOTHER FedEx bill for like $21. I was starting to get suspicious. It was a mistake on their end... the product that was being taxed was something sent to someone totally unrelated to me in anyway possible, however, somehow, someone in FedEx accidentally tagged my name/address to the bill. I wrote an RTS (Return To Sender) on the envelope and dropped it back into the Canada Post mail slot.

Up to yesterday, I had not heard anything back from FedEx. No apology letter, nothing, for the mistaken bill sent to my name/address. If it wasn\'t for the $161 amount that I previously paid for my exhaust system, I wouldn\'t have went ahead with the complaint letter;

I hand wrote a complaint letter, basically addressing the events that took place in January and how they did not have any courtesy to even send a \"Thank You\" or \"Sorry\" letter to me.

I then continued with a proposition to them to credit me the difference of what I paid ($161, calculated out of a U$599 bill of sale) with what I should have owed (unstated amount which would be calculated out of the U$486 that I really did pay for the exhaust system, with proof that I paid that amount), plus giving me the $21 amount from the mistaken invoice, for my troubles.

It\'s not much especially for a company of their size. An apology letter would have prevented all of this.

They better respond back!!!!!

you will be lucky to get anything back. I wish you luck Warren.

They basically told me that once you sign for it, you accept all charges. They will not credit anything unless you decline signing, and speak to someone:(

I remember reading that as well.

I\'m still trying tho either way. At least better to know than never have attempted it at all. :D

Hahaha just like your sig; absolutely nothing. Then again it\'s only been a few (business) days. I\'d be surprised if they actually received it by now.
