View Full Version : Its Ordered!
i\\\'m new here :D ! and just ordered my 05 GS 5MT Velocity Red Metallic w/ a/c & PP! VERY excited . . . surprisingly i\\\'m not going to have to wait as long as a few of you had to . . . Al at Westowne said its on the way from Vancouver, and should be here in less than 2 weeks! CAN\\\'t wait!!
Just one question though . . . should I rust proof it when I get it, or should I wait till next fall? seeing as though its already march . . . hhmmm

maybe you shouldn\'t rust proof at all?
check out the search (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/search.php) feature (top right hand corner) and search for rust proofing (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/search.php?perpage=20&sortby=dateline&sort=DESC&q= rust+proof&qauthor=&forums%5B%5D=all&match=all&mat chmessage=1&action=display) and see what ppl say - some are totally pro and others may think it\'s a waste of money. if you plan to get rid of it in 5yrs or less i say forget it and don\'t waste your money but everyone will have a different opinion. cheers

Welcome EMC. El is a nice guy to deal with at Westowne Mazda. 2 weeks is little too optimistic at this point, give yourself a window of 3-4 weeks.
Once the car arrives at toronto, it takes another week until it reaches the dealer lot.

I finanaced the car with the intention to keep it for a while. Initially i wasn\'t going to get rust proofing, but because the finance rate went down by 3 percent before the car arrived (i got lucky), I figured that i can use that money toward the rust proof and sound shield (wich by the way is bullsh**... the sound shield that is)
You can always get it done somewhere else, although i raised the car on a hoist to inspect their work, and they did a really good job.

are you sure? have you read the fine print.. usually rust proofing is good for PERFORATION not SURFACE rusting.. maybe yours is different but i doubt it..

Apparently I have a 10 year rust warranty on mine too. Not sure how it works though.
