I wish! But here\'s my Garage Door Opener Mod.

All you need is a momentary push button from Radioshack (part no. 275-644A). I got the black one, there\'s a red one too. Some wiring and a soldering gun. Easy!

I have two buttons, one for each of our two garage doors. Not totally lined up, but I can live with it.

Nice.....I did the exact same mod a few months ago using the same button. Awesome mod.....I love it. I used two 9 volt battery connectors so I can remomve the original garage opener to replace the batteries. I mounted it behind the dash using velcro tape.

Nice job on the NOS Button LOL!!!

Just dont park your car outside of your garage. If you dont have an entry point in your garage, thats fine. But if you do, thats the most common way to break in a house. The garage remote.

Nice clean job btw!!!!!

WOW that is really cool!!!!:D Surprisingly such a simple mod just blew me away... I wan to run out to radio shack right now and do this. I hate having my garage door opener on my visor cause it\'s always in my field of vision... arrrggg! Time to put the soldering skils to the test

Hey whos ur dad, how do you remove those damn option blanks. In your walk through you said just pop them out with a screwdriver, but where? I\'m afraid i\'m gonna break something. Help please!!

By the way I did just run out to radio shack to pick up the buttons!!!

Just use a screwdriver and pry it out from right under the cover. There are some plastic cut out tabs on the side which might break but the broken tabs can\'t be seen and it doesn\'t impact the functioning of the cover in any way.

Just a some gentle force and it\'ll pop out.

I just installed this button today. It was tricky getting the cover off the dash, but once that was done the rest was easy. Great little mod I must say!!!:D

I tried looking for this momentary button everywhere!
but nobody seems to carry it :(

Well there\'s the red 1 but doesn\'t match my car at all :(

and I tried to pop the thing out many times but it wouldn\'t work :(

could the same thing be used for a switch for an underglow kit

Optimzer

yeah - a button could be mounted there to switch a glow kit on and off - of course you wouldn\'t do the whole garage opener part except for mounting the button

sweet... How much would it cost for a pro to do this?? I hate the idea of myself working on my car as I could prolly screw something up..

I wanna put neons at the bottom :)

I might be inclined to do it myself if some who has done it was willing to be there to make sure I do it right. :D ....but i doubt i will find such a person. This way i can learn about the wiring and then maybe be able to put neon lights myself etc...
