I dont know if any of you are into formula 1, but it was nice to finally see some compettiton. Ferrari didnt dominate as usualy. the reace wsa actually fun to watch, not like a year ago. when schumacher would be first and ruben 2nd or 3rd. Good job to renault for putting up a competative car. i know its jsut the first race, but all the rule changes with engines now lasting 2 weekends, makes it for a little more entertaining entertainment. Our canadian hopeful was 13th. Not bad with what he calls a unbalanced car. just thought id share my excitment, im a huge F1 fan...

They did some changes to the cars this year apparently to make it more competitive. They do this every year and Ferrari still comes out on top.

I think the main reason was that he blew an engine in qualifying. Rules state that if you switch engines (or anything) between qualifying and the race, you have to start at the back of the grid.
Since there is also another rule that you only have one set of tires for the entire race..... He didn\'t drive like a mad man to get back up front...
Now if it had rained he could have changed tires and we might have seen some Shumacher Magic :)

I think that the best think for F1 would be for Schumacher to change to one of the last place teams. That way it will prove once and for all if it is his driving or the car that is so good.

He\'s a great driver (dirty sometimes) but it\'s the car that makes the difference. If you put him with the worst team, there\'s no way he would win the Championship because most likely his car wouldn\'t out perform the Ferrari. Anybody remember Villeneuve?...LOL Has he ever won since he switched teams? NOPE.

I\'m with you on that. I can\'t wait to see Valentino Rossi get into F1 (rumours and test drives have been done). With all the new rules I think I might watch F1 this year.

You never know. My point is that if he was such a good driver who is so intune with how the car should be set up.. it shouldn\'t matter which team he\'s on. Of course the amount of money behind a team is a big factor as well.
I just think it would be interesting..... and there is no way you can put Villeneuve and Schumacher in the same skill level. I\'ll always cheer for Villeneuve as a Canadian and I was a huge fan of his dad Gilles, but i\'m still a Schumacher fan #1
