Yup, me too. I had the windows open a crack, the sunroof popped up, and had my system working to it\'s potential for the first time in months!!!

Come on Spring, I\'m sick of the cold weather:D

Ya I had my windows down yesterday as well.

Autoexe - First off let me say that those rims look real good on the car. Second, I just have a question about claying. What does claying do exactly and how does the process work?

I\'m not autoexe, but I can answer your question. By claying your car, you will remove all the contaminants on the paint (caused from pollution etc) that washing alone won\'t get rid of. It\'s a very simple process, all you need is a clay bar (available at any car parts store. Meguiars, Mothers all make them). You will also need some Quick detailer (again avail from Meguiars etc) or use the car soap when washing your car. First you must wash the car, then make sure the car is well lubricated (spray QD or car soap & water) and then you lightly (don\'t need to apply much pressure) rub the clay over the paint in north to south direction (don\'t do circles). You\'ll feel the clay \"grab\" the paint a bit but it should just glide over the paint. If it\'s not gliding, you need to add more lubricant. You\'ll notice the piece of clay will get dirty, once this happens just fold over the piece of clay and use the clean side.

Here\'s a link with pics explaining how to do it (probably easier to understand then me :p )

claying (http://autopia.org/kb/index.php?page=index_v2&id=31&c=root)

BTW: If anyone is interested in detailing their cars, Autopia (http://autopia.org/)
is a great resource.

Finally, Autoexe your car looks sweet :D

ah...you beat me to it!

yeah - going over the car with a clay bar will help remove all the surface contaminants that have collected on the paint over winter that can\'t be removed by washing - the paint will feel a lot smoother after claying

it\'s not hard, but it\'s a pretty time consuming prcess - imagine going over the entire car with an art eraser - you get the idea

thanks for the comments about the car btw!

but i think it\'s TOO early for summer tires.. looking at < 1cm of snow (http://twn.ca/weather/cities/can/Pages/CAON0696.htm) i know it\'s not much but the summer tires won\'t stick.. also.. salt .. i dunno.. should have waited a bit..

our stock wheels are made in Japan, what is your point?

Take it easy there tiger. I like to use the word JDM still because it is to me the best way to distinguish one persons car style setup to another person who can relate. Efectivly it worked, the comment was aknoledged to the intended individual.

If it really bothers you maybe you should just ignore it?

No I wont stop saying Japanese Domestic Market as that is what his rims are.

Japanese Domestic Market originally referred to parts available on a STOCK car in Japan. (i.e. the JDM front clip on the 3rd gen integras, JDM headlights on the CTR, etc)

his rims are not stock on any Mazda car in Japan, so they\'re not JDM :sarc
