to get a PROPER idea of what it looks like you should come to a meet (we just had one) or meet up with someone who has tints done.. that\'s the best way, you\'ll see it from inside and outside.. if you insist on a picture, check out the link in my sig!

Let me chime in here with a word on the service at FX Auto, specifically Wayne. I had a little mishap with my car earlier this month (aside from my current problem - March has been a bad month for me) and I had to get the passenger side rear quarter panel window (the triangular window on the hatch) replaced and retinted. I had the window replaced at Apple Auto Glass for $275 (taxes in and installed) but I wanted the same tint as the rest of the windows. I phoned up Wayne at FX Auto and set up an appointment for the following Saturday and was told that it would cost me $30 to replace the tint. Saturday arrives and a couple of hours after handing in my keys Wayne just smiled and said \"There you go\" without asking for any payment! Understandably it is a small window, but it was my stupidity that led to all of this and what about the labour involved? Gratis!

He wanted to thank TM3 for the increased number of Mazda3s over the past year. This just goes to show you what Majic and several other FX Auto customers have said, FX Auto is a great business to deal with with up standing people backing their product. Continued success to them!!!

Yes, but the service is top notch (just read all of the testimonials on this forum) the film has a lifetime warranty.

I got my done at $225, I believe. Try to go there with others who also want to get tint. This will help you to get lower price. And that\'s what I did ;)

no.. no tint is safe in ontario.. 35% is the \'unspoken\' rule but they can nail you on it too if they can\'t tell your gender, eye colour or whatever else they need to see. it\'s in teh forum.. search around

you probably won\'t.. just ask for the TM3 - it\'s pretty good as it is.. i hear someone went in as a group (but i dunno how many or who it was) and got a slight discount.. doesn\'t hurt to call ahead..

I recently helped a friend get an appointment thru Martin at FX Auto for her RSX. He quoted $200 cash. My hatch cost $225 for the extra windows/labour. I have yet to hear but for Mazda3 Sedan, MAYBE just MAYBE $200. Expect $225 though. Top notch work. Worth every penny. Don\'t go cheap and end up having to pay the same price or more to replace your bubbled tint or tint that faded to a purple hue.

the 6\" strip of darker tint (I believe 6\" is max legal size) for even better sun protection (so you don\'t have to use the visors as much).. and for some people for looks.

the popo won\'t bother you if you don\'t bother them. I think 30% if fine.

I\'m sure they\'ll be asses if you\'re speeding and pull you over, they\'ll just add that fine on as incentive for them. gotta meet those quotas (it\'s worse than working at best buy).

A lot of ppl have 30% or darker so it\'s all up to the police officer to assess whether or not its illegal, if they can see you from the outside in through the front windows.

35% is legal, although not stated.

Yeah the po po has not pulled me over yet;) I hope they don\'t give me any trouble. I was stopped on the on ramp to the hwy cause they were checking for seatbelts and I guess they couldn\'t see in but when I rolled down the window the OPP said I could go. That\'s about it so far.

I find that the sunband is a little low, It actually passes that mark (just left of the rearview mirror) on the windshield by about an inch. I heard that that was the limit but I\'m not sure.

Otherwise I love the tint, it makes the car look much sleeker (is that right?). Now gotta get the rims powdercoated mirror black.

Have you asked FX why the sunband is curved? Or, it doesn\'t bother you? I\'d perfer it to be straight across, just parallel to the top of the windshield.

I noticed that 20% is really dark **and i like that ** but im just wondering how dark it is from the INSIDE of the car .... like can you see clearly at night ? someone help !

I was at FX on wednesday too.. but just to touch up some of the windows where dust snuck in. I\'d like to give a special shout out to Martin and Wayne. Once they found out that I came all the way from Oakville just to touch up the tint, they took me in right away to fix the problems and made sure that everything else was good before they let me go. While I was there I saw FreshJive and Cookie.. it was cool to just hang out and talk about our cars. It was nice meeting the both of you :)

I am going to FX Auto this thursday to tint my 3. I am leaning towards 30% for my titanium hatch. Is anyone else going this week?

They were very nice at fx auto, I didn\'t realize that it takes over three hours to tint. I think 30% is perfect for my car. One question for the other people who have had their tint done. Is it normal for the tint job to have very small air bubbles? Most of the bubbles have a piece of dust or debris in them. They are not very noticeable. I am going to call them and make another appointment; they have very good customer service.

When FX Auto tinted my car. I found a lot of dust bubbles on the passenger side. I went there the second time and they replaced it for me no problems. Once they found out that I lived in Oakville, they took my car in right away. Now that is good service. But on the other hand, the front passenger window still has some dust bubbles. I\'m gonna have to go there a third time to get it replaced... I hate the drive to get there but the service is great once i get there.

I just wish FX Auto wasn\'t so damn far from me. Its a mission to get there all the time.:(

15% ??? It doesn\'t look like 15% thou, my previous Protege had 20%, but it looked much much darker than urs, urs look like 30~35%....;)

Alright. I\'m going to take advantage of the cooler weather and get my windows tinted before things heat up again. I work nights, so I thought I\'d hit FX Auto today to check out film choices and book a time.

The stories are true, Wayne is tops. He\'s enthusiastic and willing to field any questions. And he mentioned his gratitude for all the positive feedback and business this club has given him.

So, I\'m due in tomorrow at noon for an all-around of the Comfort 30.

Went by to see Wayne on Sat. for an appt. This guy is the best! He answers any questions, give you all the details, and got the TM3 250 deal...

I couldn\'t believe how many Mazdas (esp. Mazda3s) are getting it done here. He said he has at least 1 Maz3 coming in everyday until mid July!!!!!!

To prove how reliable FX\'s tints are Wayne said he\'s got a guy came in w/ a new T-bird, and told him he had tinted his old T-bird 16 yrs ago! No fades, no bubbles.

At FX auto the tint is covered by a manufacture\'s warranty ... meaning that the tint can be replaced at any tinting shop that uses the same tint film . I think thats right , and i think FX Auto uses Formula One Tint (im too lazy to run out to the car and check the pamphlet for more info) hahaha:p

well no one replied in time so this is what happened:

I got the Comfort Film at 30% So far there r a few bubbles n they guy said that it was just water which will go away.. I dunt really think it will but who knows.. I will wait till Friday n See what happens. Other than that I guess its ok.. do you guys normally have to go back to get stuff touched up on ?
