Avante of Toronto gone

As of yesterday Avante of Toronto no longer exsists. A new Mazda dealership will be opening next
Monday. I\'m not sure if the club discount will continue at the other Avante location. Someone will have to inquire about it.

The good news is that you\'ll see some familiar faces at the new store. :)

Does anyone know (Flipspeed perhaps) if the majority of staff will remain unchanged? I\'m particularly interested in the service technicians. The fact of the matter is, Avante had enough staff for two full dealerships, so what\'s happening to the other half? If the staff is all the same, I could definately see myself continuing to service there. My only fear is that Avante will have taken their best employees from both locations and put them in RH (I know I would).

Anyone have any input?

Well from what I\'ve been told the \"good guys\" in the shop are staying. I know for sure that 2 of the best (IMO) techs are staying at Toronto.

That\'s good to hear. The phone number is still 416-642-7777 for the direct line and 416-642-1333 for the direct parts line. This time the dealership will look finished with plans to relocate the parts department to the main floor and a whole new service area.

I literally live a 2 minute walk from the dealership.. and to my surprise.. they have a huge sign on the window saying.. \"NOW OPEN MAZDA OF TORONTO\".. There are new cars everywhere.. in a matter of 12 hours.. (Didn\'t see them last night..) None of them have been processed of course.. All the cars still have that white film on them.. Not sure if they\'re really open or not but looked like lots of people were inside....

Is it just me or is Mazda.ca showing an incorrect map (http://www.mazda.ca/Dealer/DealerInfo.asp?DealerID=9174&Lang=eng) for Mazda of Toronto?

Google (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=6167%20Yonge%20Street%2C%20Toronto%2C%20Ont ario&spn=0.021606%2C0.026815&hl=en) has it correct.

It is northeast of Yonge Street at Newton Drive.

Not only is the map wrong, but that is the location of the new Sisley for Honda dealership. If you remember, Sisley used to be where Mazda of Toronto is now, so how strange is that?
