and put on some new OZ Superleggera 7x17 with Hankook H405 225/45/17 tires. These tires are quiet and smooth, and seem to provide pretty good traction so far in the dry. I\'m still playing around with different tire pressures. The rims are 15.2 lbs and the wheel/tire combo is about 36.5 lbs I estimate. The car drives so much better now. Acceleration, braking, and handling are improved all around. Pics below.

Very nice choice in wheels. Do you really notice that much difference in performance with the lighter wheels? I am concered about the wheels I want to purchace. They are 24 lbs per wheel (18\" falken torque 5). Even though I don\'t go around racing people, I don\'t want to lose too much performace.

Nice rims ...looks good :)
Just for comparison purposes, my stock rims with Toyo T1-S are 41.2 lbs and my 16\" steelies with Kumho KW17 are 46.8 lbs.

Thanks. I feel a difference switching from stock rims with snow tires - everything just feels more responsive. I think the stock rims are about 20 lbs, so if you are increasing to 24 lb 18\"\'s, then I guess the difference would be even greater. No one will argue that larger rims don\'t look better, but I personally think that over 17\", it\'s just not economical - tires get really expensive, and the rotating weight increases. From what I\'ve seen, for 17\", anything under 17 lbs is good for wheels, and a light tire would be under 22lbs.

Changed to my summer too. The difference is amazing from the winter cushy Lexus Feel compared to more Go-Kart road feedback. Watch-out for the sand still on the streets and corners before the spirited driving comes out though.

How do you find the Toyos? I don\'t think I\'m in the market yet for new rubber but I\'ve been keeping Toyo in mind for when I do make a change.

Sexy rims! ;)
Just wondering how much and where did you get them?

I got them from Tirecraft in Mississauga. http://www.tirecraft.com/Ontario/mississaugaqueensway.asp The contact was named Param. The wheels were $340 and the tires were $137. If I had more money right now, I would have gone for higher end tires, but these tires are not bad for the price.
