i was jsut thinking and wondering what everyone listens to when they drive their mazda? Do you listen to the radio all the time, or CD, or maybe a combination of both. What cd\'s you listen to, you know stuff like that.
Im getting a little bored or the radio, and need some new music. If anyone can suggest a few good cd\'s that would be great. I dont really have a music style that i like more. i can listen to anything from 50 cent to linkin park. Just something new would be nice. It jsut camo out and im already sick of hearing the dam,n new backstreet boy song. WHy do people listen to that, ahhhhhh..i hate it. i bet itll be one of the most overplayed songs in a month or so..one of the reasons why i stay away form the radio. anyways give me your thoughts

Mornings stuck in traffic: Radio. It keeps me entertained.
A lot of the time its my Ministry of Sound, Essential Mix, etc etc sets other than just your typical hiphop (last few days Ive had all my Lil Kim CD\'s on rotation).
lately ive been more of a rock guy. But i like new stuff not really anything that plays on the radio. There is a really good British band called Bloc Party that ive been listening to a lot lately ( i highly recommend this cd). However i get my system installed in 2 weeks, so that might sway me back to hip hop a little.
If it\'s radio, morning/afternoons 680 News. Night time, 103.5 or 93.5. CD it\'s Trance music. If GF is in car, it\'s Hip-Hop/RnB/Chinese/Korean/Japanese pop. Yes my 6CD changer investment was well worth it. :D

I mainly listen to the various \"Chillout House\" CDs that I bought when I was on vacation, I can\'t find them here for some reason. I also listen to Michael Buble for something a little out of the ordinary (for me any way).

Mornings I switch between Howard Stern, The Fan 590 and 93.5. If I\'m lucky and there is a good show on college radio (89.5, 88.1, 105.5) I\'ll usually check that out. For the drive home it can vary but again I\'ll stick to the Fan or my CDs (usually Hip Hop, more Hip Hop, R&B or my custom mixes).
I\'m seriously contemplating either getting Satellite radio or investing in an iPod (or similar) to expand my musical selection. But enough about that...there\'s a new Backstreet Boys song!?!!? :p

I\'m mainly a classic rock/rock type of guy. I do like a fair bit of hip hop and dance as well though.... At the moment I have AC/DC Back in Black, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Billy Talent CD\'s in my car. The thing with most hip hop recordings is that they are nice and loud, great for relieveing stress on the way home from work. :)

Depends on what mood I am in:
:D - Hip Hop and RnB cd\'s with various artists. Flow 935, Z103.5, since I got my stubby, I can now get 93.7 WBLK, 98.5.
:( - Boyz to Men, Sappy music. So if you pull up beside me and you hear slow jams blasting out of my car you know what mood I am in!!!!
Wouldn\'t that be the funniest, you have a sooped up Mazda 3, you pull to the line, and there is Celine Dion blasting from the sunroof and windows of the car!!:D :p :sarc

i tend to stay away from radio more often now. it seems likt the selection of good music right now has decreased over the last few years. these artists better start putting out some good cd\'s, not just 1 good song. I was thinking about the Ipod. but i cant get myself to spend 500 bucks on something that jsut plays music. ive tried many times.

I rarely listen to the radio...I usually burn mix CD\'s to listen to
Top 40 stuff sometimes, I like the stuff the Mix plays, but otherwise I\'m an alternative/rock girl.
NIN, Garbage, Jakalope, Coldplay, etc.
Sometimes I listen to things that are a little more electronic, or \"dancey\".

I never listen to the radio in the car... too many comercials and talking, not enough music. Usually it all depends on the mood I\'m in but into pretty much everything.
Fast hwy driving (140km and up): gotta have the beats going, house, electronic, hip hop
Cruisin on hwy: R&B, hip hop, reggae,
City: Mixture of everything... but usually something I can sing along with. I\'m the guy that\'s bobbing his head up and down and wailing with the song in the car:D
Current CDs in my car
Talib Kweli - Beautiful Struggle (good hip hop, none of that money, ice and hoes shiat)
Daft Punk - Discovery (personal fav)
Black star - Black star (one of the best hip hop albums)
Samurai Champloo OST (Music from an awsome anime series, mostly electronic, ambient... good beats !)
K-OS - Exit (good stuff!)
Armand van Helden - New York Mix odyssey (I love this cd. great mix of songs)
Armand van Helden - Mix mag cd (some more good house)
Jodeci - the show, the after party the hotel (Fav R&B group, sing along cd :D )
Mix Reggae cds x2
R&B Jumpoff 14 mixed by Big Mike (Mix cd of the latest r&b)
GZA - Liquid swords (Wu-Tang aint nothin to f--k with!!!)
Pete Rock - Soul survivor 1&2, underground soul classics (Soul brotha #1! wicked beats!!)
Linkin Park - Reanimation (theres something about this angry music I like?... oh yeah makes you wanna drive faster and race everybody!)
Alica Keys - Diary of alica keys (I love this girl! Talented and beautiful)
Several mix cds from my buddies of electronica, electroclash, house, club stuff
If anybody needs music let me know... I\'ve got 3224 songs on my ipod! Too bad its old
:( maybe i should get one of those PIE thingys?

Ha! I agree.
Speaking of music in our cars... does anybody know if Mazda offers an audio package which is iPod compatable?
Being a Club DJ, I can\'t seem to justify buying anything else for the car (audio wise). The 6pack CD changer just doesn\'t cut it... can\'t get all the music I want to fit onto 6 discs lol.
Oh, and the preference I would play in my ride (once I take the plunge and sign on the dotted line) would be Retro 80\'s (and of course whatever I\'m currently playing in the clubs).
Another interesting point I had found out about audio in the Mazda3:
If you decide to change the deck in the car to something 3rd party, you run the risk of voiding your warranty. Not only the warranty for the electrical, but the powertrain and all.
Do some research and ask your dealership before you decide to install 3rd party systems. I had inquired about this with the boys from Avanti and they said that it\'s a good chance if anything goes wrong with your car electrical wise and you\'ve installed 3rd party stereo systems, say good bye to your warranty.

Been switching up between Flow, Z103, Mix & Chum. Basically any station that isn\'t on commercial break... Therefore, Now XM Radio.
Mainly a majority of Hip-hop, rap, R&B, Top 40. Lately thou... totally outta character. Micheal Buble, James Blunt, and Bond (modern classical stuff). But anything that give the subs a good workout is always welcome...
Anyone got any suggestions on tracks?? Open to all genres..

Most times bands like Zeppelin, ACDC, Barenaked Ladies, Queen, megadeth, and most other classic rock bands, but also sometimes Our Lady Peace, Offspring, Oasis, System of a Down, Sum 41, (older) Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and such. Honestly, I can't stand anything with a computer generated beat/sound.
Lately I've been listening to my engine.
But usually 70/30 radio/Cd
Hip Hop

Truthfully anything. I have 200+ CD's *and for people who have seen inside my car can vouch for that* And the Zune and whatever else I really feel like listening to. I rarely listen to the radio. For presets though 97.7, 102.1, 103.5, Y 108, 107.1, 107.5. Yeeeeea I have a wide variety that could go from Eminem, ACDC, Slayer, The Offspring, Styx, Obie Trice. Whatever really. I am that person who will listen to Du Hast at the loudest possible head banging and having old ladies look at me like I am retarded haha.
