So how many of you guys are going to watch the Raptors and Nets Friday April 13, 2005? This marks the return of some guy named Vince Carter!!!!:sarc I can\'t imagine what it would be like to be at the ACC hearing all those boos for him. I went to watch a game when Antonio Davis came back and the boos were pretty loud. Raptors were a disappointment this year, but if they can dash the playoff hopes for the Nets it would be even sweeter!! :p :D I\'m suppose to be going to Inside Night Club that night and wonder if he would show his face there!!!

Go Craptors Go!!;)

I hope they have a pacifier giveaway that night and he gets pelted with them at every turn. I can understand Toronto not being the ideal place for an NBA player but hell, he could have given us some effort before he left. I don\'t think he really tried since the Sixers knocked us out of the playoffs a few years back. Granted, I have no faith in the Raptor\'s management either, especially after they let McGrady leave town for nothing in return.... Bah, bring back the NHL!!!!!

What ever happened to sticking with your team and building it into a championship team?!?! The trend seems to be \"bandwagon jumpers\". I have no respect for players who do this. Anyone with me on this one or what?

As for VC... he has no heart.. all he has is a ton of skill.. all that skill goes to waste if you don\'t have that \"fire\" or \"killer instinct\" if you will. You will notice that at the beginning of the game... VC can\'t miss a shot. by the second quarter, you don\'t even notice he is on the court.. and then finally he shows up at the end... trying to win the game and be a \"hero\"...If you play hard for four quarters.. you won\'t find yourself in those situations as often.

Just my two cents.

VC has tons of talent... Whether the talent has translated into skills is another story...

As for the bandwagon jumpers... I\'m with you, but there\'s also something to be said about the raps management... Notice how every single player we dealt out seem to become a better player?

Dr. Butcher, I think you are totally right about that playoff series against the Sixers, once VC missed that shot it seemed to change everything. I also heard that Oakley was a big part of the success, because he would not allow VC\'s mother into the locker room to protect her little boy!!!

Thr33scompany, Reggie Miller, who is retiring this year is a true example of class. From what I know I don\'t think he played for any other team besides the Indiana Pacers. Through good and bad times, he was there for his team. I can think of David Robinson as another guy who stuck around for the good and the bad times and was rewarded with a ring!!

These players now a days play for \"Contending Teams\" i.e. Alonzo Mourning. So you play for a city for 10 years, you move to a team for 1 year win a championship ring, and the emblem on the ring doesn\'t even represent where you have spent most of your career. I understand winning a championsip is important, but to me leaving behind a good foundation to the city is worth more!!:D

That is so true bro! The thing about is that there is no direction for this team anymore. Everyone is getting old, we have a point guard who doesn\'t want to pass the ball and once again we have a first round pick that is still a \"project\". I don\'t know about you but if you are drafted in the first round.. you better be able to start or at least be the sixth or seventh man.. NO FIRST ROUND PICK SHOULD BE LABELLED AS A \"PROJECT\" second and third round players are allowed to have that title but not the first rounders..

The raptor management seems to run all our \"superstars\" out of town.. WTF!?!?

Check out this link: Seven Transactions That Backfired (http://sportsillustrated.netscape.cnn.com/ns/sports/storymain.jsp?number=1e&floc=sp-main-1-l1)

Trading VC is the worst decision made by Raps? How about Doug Christie and Charles Oakley? I don\'t think that slashing Mark Jackson and Antonio Davis were good decisions either...

While you\'re at it check this out: Best Exercise (http://channels.netscape.com/ns/love/content.jsp?file=love/fun/lovetonight.jsp)

Finally have proofs... wahahahaha j/k :p

MICHAEL BRADLEY

:p

Soopabanana, I think the list goes on and on, JYD was a true Raptor, even when he was traded to Chicago, he still wore Raptors shorts under his Bulls stuff!!

I really miss the days of Doug Christie and JYD. I was never too big on Vince, cause to be honest he was never great when it counted IMO. It was clear he had not love for the city or team. It\'s a shame that some players don\'t want to play for T.O., cause this is a great city to live/work in by North American standards. I don\'t miss hockey one bit, always been a bigger basketball fan.

The list goes on with the Raptors for bone-headed moves/acquires:

Drafting Radojovic(sp)
Drafting Bradley
Drafting Hoffa
Signing YOGI to a 24 million dollar contract?!?! WTF?!

Letting go of:

Damon Stoudamire (Still a fan til the day i die :))
Tracy McGrady (Got nothing in return)
Popeye Jones (rebounding machine but no offence)
Doug Christie (Even though he has proven that he can\'t play in big games and that his wife has got him WHIPPED!!)
Corliss Williamson
Chauncy Billups
etc etc

Not a big fan of Damon Stoudamire... Hate ball hogs on or off the court

I was somewhat impressed with VC during the first year... For a hockey town, VC did bring some energy into Toronto for... say... a year.

Now when I look at the Raps, I\'m just praying that there\'ll be some new blood coming to the team... Someone like Wade or LeBron (team players with talent and heart). Until then, I\'m a fan for whatever city Steve Nash lands :p

At least there is some hope with Chris Bosh, but I really am scared that we are going to screw this one up too. I mean how difficult is it to put together a team? Rob Babcock doesn\'t seem like he has any idea of what the hell he is doing! I was reading rumours that the MLSE board wants to fire him and Richard Peddie and I don\'t think it\'s a bad idea!

As for Vince, I used to be a huge fan, but if you are stupid enough to admit on television that you always didn\'t give 100% and expect people to understand...give me a break! I\'m waiting for \"Wince\" to get a paper cut in Jersey and run off to his mom!

Carter actually got fould pretty hard last night against Indiana, and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for him not to play tomorrow night. But to my surprise he got up and played again!! I was checking e-bay and they were selling tickets for $500 for a pair of platnium seats!!

Are you still going to the Raps game on Friday Jim?

Bosh is pretty good... But I\'m pretty sure that the Raps management will one way or another screw that talent up and push Bosh to another team where Bosh will truly shine. Btw, I think that the Raps marketing effort is probably one of the worst I\'ve seen in any city ever... They actually managed to make basketball uncool...

LOL Nice one... Although I\'m not the type who\'d dish out $31 to publicly display my dissatisfaction with VC, I\'d pay mad respect to whoever that has that shirt... Brilliant.

Have fun at your party man!
